Information Security Program Foundations: What Information Security Really Means for Credit Union Leaders

A strong information security program in a credit union starts with clear governance, well-defined responsibilities, and practical controls that protect sensitive member and business information. This networking group session is a panel discussion focused on the foundational elements needed to build (or strengthen) a sound information security program—one that aligns with business priorities, supports compliance obligations, and can scale as the organization and threat landscape evolve.

Our panelists—a Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Information Security Analyst—will discuss how to establish the core building blocks of an effective program, including policy and standards development, threat based risk assessments, data classification and handling, access management, third-party oversight, security awareness and incident response readiness. The session will include audience Q&A and time for peer discussion and networking.
