Event FAQs
1. What time zone does the event take place in?
Eastern Standard Time (ET or EST).
2. How long is the event?
The event will be around an hour. All times are listed on the summary page and the confirmation page.
3. Will the event be recorded?
The event will be recorded.
4. Will there be a presentation?
Yes, there will be a presentation during the event followed by the opportunity to ask the expert speaker questions about information security.
5. How do I register more than one person?
You can register more than one person by clicking the "Add Group Member" button at the end of your registration. You will then have to fill out their contact information and make any session date/time selections as necessary. You may register up to 10 additional group members.
6. How will I access the event at the scheduled time?
Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Cvent. Ten minutes prior to the start of the event, click on the link provided from Cvent. This link will automatically connect you to the event. You may be prompted to download Zoom.
If you are prompted to download Zoom, select "Run." Once you are connected, you will join via your computer using a microphone and speakers or headphones. You will be entered in as a listen-only viewer. Questions can be asked by raising your hand so the moderator can unmute your line or by using the Chat feature in Zoom.
7. What should I do if I’m unable to access the event through Zoom or if I don’t receive the login instructions email from Cvent?
Login instructions are sent directly from Cvent and are sent upon registration. A reminder email will be sent two business days before the event and again one hour prior to the event. If you have not received your login instructions, we recommend checking your spam folder and, if you are still having difficulties accessing the event, please email us at marketing@vfccu.org.
8. How early do I have to sign on/login for the event?
We recommend that you sign on about 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the event. This will give you enough time to check your connection to the Zoom meeting platform.
9. How do I cancel my registration?
In your confirmation email that you received after registering, please click on the "Modify/Cancel" button located at the bottom right-hand side of the email. This will take you to the event confirmation page where you may unregister from the event.
You can also modify/cancel your registration by clicking on the "Already Registered" link found under the "Register" button on the event webpage. From here, you will need to enter the email address you used to register and your confirmation number. Then, you can select a new session or unregister from those you can no longer attend.
10. How much does it cost to participate in the event?
This event is being offered free of charge.
11. Can I add the event to my calendar?
Yes! Once you have completed your registration, you will be directed to the confirmation page with your confirmation number. The "Add to Calendar" button can be found at the bottom of the confirmation page. Once you click the button, you will be able to schedule the event in your calendar by clicking on the name of the event that's in your browser's download folder.
You can also use the "Add Session to Calendar" link in the confirmation email. Click this link, and you will receive a pop-up asking if you would like to add it to your calendar. Click "Open," and schedule it as you would any other event.
